So many ways to make you smile again
Our treatments
Our Team puts the patients in the center.
We offer our patients the highest quality while respecting the needs and potential of each one. In the Martinolli Dental Practice we work in harmony with the latest procedures proposed by scientific research and proven effective in the care of oral health.
In the mouth there are not only teeth. The mouth is not separated from the rest of the body.
Oral hygiene is the most efficient way to prevent caries and periodontal disease. It helps to save on more complex treatment costs, reduces the number of lost teeth and it´s essential to keep your teeth healthy longer.
During professional hygiene, not only accumulated plaque and tartar are eliminated!
Our goals during a hygiene session are:
- explain to the patient the techniques to get a correct home oral hygiene and practice it manually,
- Regularly check the state of teeth and gums to prevent the development of caries, gingivitis and periodontitis.
- remove plaque and tartar to maintain healthy gums,
- cleaning annoying stains from wine, coffee and coloured drinks, restoring their natural colour,
- polish teeth surfaces to make new plaque build-up more difficult.
Regular sessions at the dentist can prevent long-term damage to your teeth!
Conservative Therapy
Fillings, reconstructions.
Conservative therapy deals with the restoration of dental tissues destroyed by caries or erosions of acid substances, using aesthetic composite materials it is possible to perfectly mimic the shape and colour of the tooth.
In our clinic we use highly aesthetic materials, free of toxic or allergic substances.
Periodontal therapy
Causal therapy is the fisrt step in the periodontal therapy. It includes oral hygiene instruction and advice,scaling and root planing (careful cleaningof the root surfaces to remove plaque and calculus from deep periodontal pockets and to smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial toxins).
Surgery
It is indispensable for extracting hopelessly compromised teeth, including wisdom teeth, apicectomies or cyst removal. Thanks to increasingly sophisticated techniques, dental surgery in our clinic is much less invasive than normal and therefore less painful.
If the patient wishes, it can be performed under general anaesthesia
Endodontics
Devitalization, root canal treatment.
When the caries is too deep it reaches the heart of the tooth or the pulp, consisting of blood vessels and nerves. When the caries reaches the pulp it causes pain up to the death of the nerve, which leads to the formation of a granuloma that can evolve into an abscess, but also turn into the much more serious phlegmon.
The main goal of endodontic therapy is to remove and disinfect the root canals from microorganisms and debris and preventing colonization or bacterial recolonization during and after treatment. This goal is achieved by carrying out a chemomechanical preparation of the root canals, in which mechanical systems are associated with the use of irrigating substances.
Finally, the canals are filled with a filling material to prevent the recurrence of the infection.
This method saves teethand prevents painful extractions.
Orthodontics
The orthodontic treatmentnot only improves the aesthetics of your smile, but also offers a variety of benefits to your overall oral health, including relief from jaw pain, an easier and more efficient everyday oral routine which helps prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease as well as the opportunity to establish a healthy foundation for the replacement of missing teeth or other restorative dental procedures.
Implantology
Our main goal is to save the natural teeth whenever possible. When one or more teeth are missing or in case we have to extrat some teeth, dental implants can be used to replace them.
Dental prosthesis
Crowns, bridges, inlays, prostheses, dentures
The discipline that deals with restoring partial or total edentulism or rebuilding and protecting highly compromised teeth from fracture. A correct chewing and aesthetic function depends on a complete prosthetic planning.
In our clinic we take care of all branches of the dental prosthesis: fixed, mobile and functional.
Skull Mandibular Dysfunction
If there is a Craniomandibular Dysfunction, the surrounding areas of the body are also affected and can lead to complex clinical pictures.
The following disorders can occur:
- Temporo-Mandibular Joint Pain, localized and often confused with ear pain;
- Bruxism, grinding and / or clenching of the teeth at night
- Tinnitus (whistling in the ear), dizziness, sense of ear muffling;
- Trigeminal neuralgia;
- Headache, of various types;
- Neck pain;
- Muscle tension in the jaw, neck, shoulders;
- Headache up to migraine;
- Sleeping disorders;
- Dizziness.
We take the time to review your masticatory system and discuss all treatment options with you.
Who is a Gnathologist?
He is the professional who relates the different aspects of Skull-Mandibular Dysfunction.
He tries to understand if this problem could be mainly linked to temporomandibular joint problems, and/or to the absence of some teeth, r to inadequate prosthetic restorations (worn or “badly made” removable bridges or prostheses), or to incorrect posture, non-orthodontic therapy performed correctly, or to a condition of stress or particularly high emotional tension or to flawed habits.
